Wamaze

Japan inbound business directory

About Wamaze

Wamaze — 和 (wa, Japan) + amaze — is a directory of Japanese businesses that welcome international guests and partners. Every listing is a real business, described by the owner, with a direct link to their own website.

01Who is listed

Owner-run businesses across Japan: restaurants and cooking classes, kimono and fashion, culture and craft, wellness and beauty, and business services for companies working with Japan. Many of the owners are members of BNI, the business referral organisation, and list their BNI Connect profile alongside their website.

02How listings work

Each owner writes their own listing in Japanese and publishes it in English. Wamaze does not sell advertising and does not rank listings by payment. Businesses that exhibit together at international events appear first while the event is on.

03Getting listed

Listing is currently by invitation. If you run a business in Japan that welcomes international guests or partners and have received an invitation, create your account and publish your listing in a few minutes.

04Who runs Wamaze

Wamaze is run by Junichiro Ozaki, founder of Ramen Cooking Tokyo and a BNI member in Tokyo. It started as the shared roster of Japanese co-exhibitors at BNI Global Conventions and grew into this directory.
